I’m a freelance copyeditor, proofreader and editorial project manager based in Melbourne, working across illustrated and narrative non-fiction.

Before moving into freelance editorial work, I worked in-house at Hardie Grant Books as a Project Editor, managing frontlist titles from manuscript through to print. Since then, I’ve worked with publishers including Penguin Random House, Thames & Hudson, Murdoch Books, Smith Street Books and University of Western Australia Publishing.

I work across cookbooks, art and design publishing, biography, lifestyle titles and narrative non-fiction, supporting projects through structural development, line editing, copyediting and proof stages.

My editorial approach is attentive, collaborative and non-interventionist. I’m interested in clarity, rhythm and structure, but also in preserving the particular qualities that make a piece of writing feel alive and distinct. I care deeply about books as carefully made objects – and about the editorial processes that help shape them.

Alongside editorial work, I bring extensive project management experience, a strong knowledge of publishing workflows and a close familiarity with house styles and editorial standards across Australian publishing.

I’m always happy to connect with publishers, editors and authors looking for freelance editorial support – please feel free to get in touch.
